Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How early should I order my cake?
A. As soon as you know you want a cake! Really!! We book several weeks in advance, so we ask that you contact us 3-6 months prior to your wedding for a consultation and cake tasting for a wedding cake, 3-4 weeks prior for your corporate event, 2-3 weeks prior for your special occasion. We try to accommodate on short notice should our schedule allow. Please call or email us to inquire about our availability on your particular date. Call, email or text us at (561)870-6128 for more information and to book an appointment. No C.O.D. orders, please. Cake orders are finalized when payment is made in full.

Q. Do you offer consultation and tastings? How many people can I bring with me?
A. Yes, we offer consultation and cake tastings for you and a guest. We understand that there may be many people in your family that are eager to participate in the tasting. We have found that this creates an environment where there is too much input! Our office can accommodate a total of up to four guests. Arrangements must be made in advance for more than two so we are sure to have enough cake for everyone!

Q. Is there a charge for the consultation and cake tasting? How long can we expect to be there?
A. There is no charge for your initial consultation. There is a $30.00 charge for the tasting (for up to four people) which will be applied to the price of your wedding cake for 50 guests or more, should you retain us within 5 days of your initial consultation.
An hour is set-aside for each client for their consultation and tasting. This allows enough time to taste our cakes and design your wedding cake! Often appointments are scheduled before and after yours so please plan to be on time so we have a full hour.

Cake samples are prepared specifically for your appointment. We ask for the courtesy of 48 hours notice if your appointment needs to be rescheduled. Cancellations without the appropriate notice will be subject to a fee of $25.00 in order to rebook the appointment. Designs are the property of Adina’s Cakery, as noted in the contract. Designs will not be emailed to you unless you retain with us.

Q. What do I need to bring to our appointment?
A. Anything you think will be helpful! You should provide us with your venue and floral decisions prior to our meeting so we have that information available. You can bring pictures of your dress, your invitations, design motif, a monogram, and color swatches. It is good to have some idea of the kind of design you are looking for. However, if you would prefer, you can simply bring yourselves. Though a collaborative effort, we will design a wedding cake you will love!

Q. What Can I Expect To Pay For A Wedding Cake? Do you have a price list?
A. We do not have a general price list because each cake created by Adina’s Cakery is a one-of-a-kind creation. Our c
ustom wedding cakes are priced per serving, based on the size of your wedding cake and the complexity of the design. Cutting cakes are available to supplement larger parties. Before you arrive for your consultation, it is helpful to have a budget in mind for what you would like to spend on your wedding cake. This will give us a better sense of what we can design for you!

Q. Do I have to make a deposit to reserve my wedding or event date?
A. Your signed contract and 50% retainer which is non-refundable and deemed earned upon receipt reserves your event date.

Q. How many servings of cake do I need at my wedding or event date?
A. Typically most weddings are fine with one serving of bride's cake for everyone, and half that number for groom's cakes. This allows for 1 and a half servings of cake per guest. That way everyone gets a serving from each cake!

Q. What is your delivery area? What do you charge for delivery?
A. Our delivery area currently ranges from Martin County to Dade County. We are willing to travel anywhere our cakes can safely be delivered so please contact us to inquire about a specific location. Delivery fees are determined by distance.

Q. Can you make any special occasion cake I design?
A. Yes, I could. But, if it’s a copy-righted image or character…sorry, I won’t. However, I do have a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Animation. If you are looking for an original cartoon character, I can create my own original character that can be used in the design of your cake! The character itself would be the property of Adina's Cakery.

Q. Do you have a retail store?
A. We currently do not have a retail storefront to pick up baked goods. Our cakes are custom made for corporate and special events. Lots of love, care and time are given for each creation!

Q. Do you ship your cakes?
A. No, we do not ship our cakes at this time.

Q. Can I, my friend and family come and work with you for a day?
A. Due to Florida Law and our company's insurance restrictions, we cannot allow anyone other than our employees inside the baking/prep areas.

Q. I want flowers on my wedding cake!

We can accommodate you in one of two ways: You can arrange to have your florist provide flowers for your wedding cake and they can arrange them onsite after our delivery window, which is typically an hour prior to your event OR we can provide a number of varieties of beautiful, realistic sugar paste flowers for your wedding cake.

Q. Do you make sugar-free, vegan, gluten-free or kosher cakes?
A. We currently do not offer sugar-free or kosher cakes. We do offer a limited selection of vegan and gluten free cakes. We do not bake in a dedicated gluten free facility nor are we certified gluten free.
